We provide speech pathology services to children and young people in natural environments including:

We service participants of the NDIS, Medicare and private paying clients.
GRASP Speech Pathology additionally offers professional supervision and support to new graduate and early career Speech Pathologists face-to-face or online.

Irini Kouvalakis
As a mobile speech pathologist, Irini Kouvalakis has dedicated her career to delivering high-quality services directly to clients in the comfort of their own environments. Her expertise and commitment to excellence have been honed through over 6 years of hands-on work experience in the disability sector. Irini is equipped with a comprehensive skill set, enabling her to support individuals work on their communication goals. Irini also tutors speech pathology students at the Australian Catholic University and Western Sydney University and is committed to lifelong learning. Irini enjoys and prides herself on her ability to provide professional career support and supervision to new graduate and early career speech pathologists. Irini is fluent in the Greek language and provides services to the Greek Community of Sydney.

Expressive language refers to our ability to effectively communicate our thoughts, ideas, and emotions through verbal means. It involves using words and constructing sentences to express ourselves, engage in social interactions, share stories, and even convey humor.
At our practice, we offer a comprehensive approach to assessing, goal setting and supporting functional and meaningful language gains.

Multimodal communication refers to the utilisation of different modalities to express thoughts, ideas, wants, and needs. This can include pictures, words, gestures, body language, assistive devices, and sign language.
At our practice, we support individuals to develop and strengthen strategies, and tools that can support difficulties communicating using natural speech.

Stuttering is a speech disorder characterised by disruptions or interruptions in the normal flow of speech. It involves involuntary repetitions of sounds, syllables, words, or phrases, prolongations or extensions of sounds within words, and blocks or pauses in speech.
At our practice, we aim to enhance communication skills and reduce the impact of stuttering on a persons experiences. Therapy techniques may include strategies to increase fluency, reduce tension, and enhance overall communication confidence. Therapy aims to reduce the impact of stuttering on daily life and promote effective communication.

Supervision refers to the support an ongoing relationship with another speech pathologist can provide you with in managing and working through the complexities of working as a speech pathologist clinically, socially, financially and emotionally.

Social support refers to emotional, informational and practical support to help individuals socially.
Life skills refers to support to manage everyday tasks, communicate, and interact within environments comfortably and confidently. This type of supports focuses on fostering independence, self-advocacy, and overall well-being.
Both social support and life skills have a big emphasis on community access and participation.
